Let’s take a closer look at what is included in the Ford warranty, and see which option works best for you.

Ford Protect Extended Service Plans

When it comes to extended warranties, Ford has Springtown covered. Choose from the four available Ford Protect Extended Service Plans, each of which vary in price and component protection.

  • PowertrainCARE: this option covers 29 components of your Ford within the engine, transmission, RWD, and FWD, protecting all the major components though not every existing one. For example, the radiator is not covered for the engine and bearings are not covered with the RWD and FWD.
  • BaseCARE: this option bumps you up to 84 covered components, including the same components as the PowertrainCARE plan. You’ll also get protection for the brakes, steering, front suspension, A/C and heating, and electrical components, though certain aspects will not be covered, such as the anti-lock brake module.
  • ExtraCARE: find protection for 113 covered components with this Ford Factory warranty. include everything above with additional coverage for your tech and convenience features, such as your keyless entry and power window motors. It does not, however, cover more advanced technologies like Ford SYNC® or rain-sensing wipers.
  • PremiumCARE: for the highest level of protection choose the PremiumCARE plan, which covers over 1,000 components of your Ford, covering everything that wasn’t protected above.

Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan

Looking for care outside of warranty plans? The Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan covers all your oil changes, filter replacements, multi-point inspections, and tire inspections/rotations after your 5-year/60,000-mile Ford Powertrain Warranty runs out.
