Trim Levels (Exterior)
You can purchase the 2023 Ford Ranger in three trims: XL, XLT, and Lariat. Each trim is available as either a SuperCrew (extended cab) with a 6-foot bed or a SuperCrew (crew cab) with a 5-foot bed. Standard features for the XL include a manually locking tailgate and 16-inch steel wheels. The XLT has 17-inch alloy wheels and available packages, such as the Sport Appearance, 301A, or 302A packages. You can get power-folding and heated outside mirrors if you opt for the 302A package on your XLT. On the Lariat, you get LED headlights. Rain-sensing windshield wipers are also available with the 501A package. The Tremor Off-Road package adds side steps, underbody skid plates, and 32-inch all-terrain tires.
Engine (Power)
Regardless of the trim or package you select, your 2023 Ford Ranger will have one engine option. All Rangers have a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission for a smooth driving experience. This engine delivers 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque to keep you at the front of the pack. You can enjoy the EPA-estimated 26 mpg on the highway, saving you time and money at the pumps. Rear-wheel drive is standard across all three trims, but you can trade that out for an all-wheel-drive system for better control and traction over various conditions.
Performance
When looking at a truck, most drivers want payload and towing capacity, and the 2023 Ford Ranger offers plenty for both. The best-in-class payload of 1,905 pounds lets you bring your tools to the worksite or your gear for a weekend adventure. When properly equipped, your Ranger can tow up to 7,500 pounds, which is perfect for the work trailer, RV, boat, or toy trailer. If you plan to take your Ranger off-road trail-riding, select the Tremor Off-Road package to add a revised suspension, Fox shocks, and a 0.8-inch increase in ground clearance. Interior
Slide into the 2023 Ford Ranger to experience a comfortable, convenient, and classy interior. The XL features one USB port, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a four-speaker audio system, and a 3.5-inch center display screen. Packages offer keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, a six-speaker stereo, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The XLT has a standard 8-inch touchscreen, but you can add power-adjustable heated front seats, navigation, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel via the various packages. On the Lariat, you get leather upholstery, and the 501A package adds a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system to your Ranger.
Safety Features
Ford knows that safety and driver-assistance features are top priorities when purchasing a vehicle, so the 2023 Ranger offers plenty.
